Daniel is the founding CEO of Extropic AI Ventures, where he leads the firm's investment strategy and portfolio development across Southeast Asia's technology and fintech sectors. He launched the firm with a conviction that Southeast Asia's next decade would produce the region's most consequential technology companies, and that seed-stage capital paired with deep regional expertise is the most powerful combination for early founders.

Prior to founding the firm, Daniel spent his career at the intersection of technology investment and Southeast Asian markets, developing a network spanning Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. He brings expertise in digital financial services, enterprise software, and marketplace businesses.

Daniel's investment philosophy centers on founder quality above all else. He is drawn to individuals who combine domain depth with the adaptability to navigate Southeast Asia's complex, multi-market landscape.

Omar Hassan

Managing Partner

Omar serves as Managing Partner at Extropic AI Ventures, overseeing investment operations and managing the firm's portfolio relationships. He brings extensive cross-border investment experience in fintech, digital payments, and e-commerce infrastructure across Southeast Asia and the broader emerging markets landscape.

Before joining the firm, Omar held senior roles at leading financial institutions and technology companies, where he developed a deep understanding of how technology reshapes financial access for underserved populations. He has sourced and evaluated over 400 early-stage investment opportunities across the region.

Omar is particularly focused on fintech businesses addressing financial inclusion, cross-border payments, and SME finance — categories he believes will define Southeast Asia's next economic transformation.

Wyatt Gibson

Senior Associate

Wyatt is a Senior Associate at Extropic AI Ventures, focused on deal sourcing, investment analysis, and portfolio support. He specializes in enterprise software, developer tools, and financial infrastructure — areas where he believes Southeast Asia's engineering talent is most competitively positioned globally.

He works closely with portfolio founders on go-to-market strategy, fundraising preparation, and the operational challenges of scaling a technology business across multiple Southeast Asian markets. Wyatt brings analytical rigor combined with a founder-first perspective shaped by his work with dozens of early-stage companies.
